80% of PHS International Baccalaureate graduates earn full IB diploma

In July 2024, 192,867 students worldwide received their Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results from the May 2024 examination session.

Poudre High School had an 80% pass rate with 70 students testing, and 56 students earning their full IB diploma this past school year. Earning an IB Diploma guarantees a minimum of 24 elective credit hours at many universities and translates to a savings of $5,000 to $12,000 in college tuition.

Completion of the IB diploma is evidence of participation in a program of study that challenges students academically, personally, and socially and prepares them with skills to work collaboratively; manage their time; think critically and problem solve; advocate for themselves and ask questions to understand and clarify ideas.

As the IB program grows and develops one of the main areas of growth is in the expansion of Diploma Programme access to all students. PHS is proud to announce that 11 of the 70 diploma candidates from the class of 2024 have a home language other than English, reflecting the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of our community.

"We are very proud of all of our students and staff who have participated in the Diploma Programme the last two years. Their dedication and hard work are clearly evident in the achievement of all of our students and our staff's ability to meet the needs of our diverse community.," said Andy Liddle PHS IB director and assistant principal. " Poudre IB is proud to continue to create learning environments and structures that meet the needs of all of our students, and celebrate the diversity, personal growth, and academic achievement for all of our students
